Gunadarma Is Ready to Held ‘The Game Technology Program’

Jakarta – It’s not that surprise if Gunadarma University is pleasant to join with Nusakom, the publisher of Nusantara Online game. That university is also going to held a program called ‘Game Technology’.

That’s what I Made Wiryana, a lecturer on Gunadarma University, as detikINET met while in the testing of Nusantara Online Game in Gunadarma’s campus, Depok, Thursday (31/12/2009).

“We’ll also establish ‘Game Technology’ program, so the joint like this is good. There is also ‘New Media’ program that combines Mass Communication with Technology”, he said.

The program that going to run on 2010, as Made said, will be ran on Master Degree. But, he didn’t say any impossibility to the Bachelor Degree further. The bachelor students in the end level, he thought, is began to take in that topic in their scription.

Made hopes that the game online testing that was held by PT Nusantara Wahana Komunika (Nusakom) with Gunadarma will open the knowledge to its student. “Usually, we only just know the completed one, in this event, they can see how the software is developed,”Made said. ( wsh / wsh )

How to Instantly Get Maps for Nokia Maps (Symbian S60 Only)

Did you ever encounter an accident that your Memory card is weirdly corrupted and need to format it, or even change and buy a new memory card? Or you have Nokia Maps but there is no map, only the globe exists, not the detailed map? And you want it back?

Okay, I will tell you how to do this. First, you have to ask a phone owner (perhaps that his/her phone have a Nokia Maps and have a pre-loaded or loaded map) to get the map.

Second, ensure you have a sufficient connection for every phone to PC. Cable is recommended, because it takes at least more than 100 MB (size is vary depending on your local Nokia representation on your region or country). The recommended mode is the Mass Storage mode to improve speed and efficiency of copying process.

Third, let it go, connect the phones to the computer. Ensure you explore the Memory Card (Mass Storage access only Memory Card on most phone) only and seek for "Cities" folder in the source phone (with maps pre-loaded or loaded). This folder contains all data regarding to Nokia Maps.

"cities" is the folder where the maps stored.

Then, copy that folder into the destination phone, in the same location - Memory Card. After done, you can use the map. Happy trying :)

IMO S900 - Local Brand Phone with Android

JAKARTA - the fast advancement of communication technology, recently, made PT Konten Indomedia keeps attempting to release shophisticated phones. The most recent model is the IMO S900 that is equipped with Google's Open Source operating system, Android.

Mozilla Fennec -- A Firefox For Mobile -- Preview Release Review

This likely will be the leap of Mozilla Foundation that it will turn mobile and directly compete with the other major mobile browser -- Opera Mobile, Opera Mini, Windows Internet Explorer Mobile, Safari for iPhone OS, S60 Web Browser, Blackberry Web Browser -- although it will not come on iPhone and Blackberry due to anti-compete policy from the vendor, just like Opera Mobile and Opera Mini (although Opera Mini pass this on Blackberry.

Okay, this time I will test the Mozilla Fennec. How it looks and the interface is. As usual, I will give you some screenshots. On the left side, a pretty pic from Firefox for Mobile's Fan Page on Facebook have a nice meaning, lol.

Actually, Mozilla Foundation have a version for Windows, Mac and Linux for testing purposes or to develop add-ons. You can download it here.

The Awesome Bar

Lol, they made a new terminology to replace Adress Bar. I just don't find where is the awesome. It's not like Microsoft which changed Taskbar into Superbar in Windows 7 that is trully super.

Awesome Bar after tapped. Awesome Bar replace the terminology of Address Bar which is the place where we input an URL Address like http://oginscorner.blogspot.com or just http://www.google.com.

The search is also here, a little bit like Google Chrome. Type the keyword on Awesome Bar, and tap the search provider on the bottom.

Huh, not special enough. But, if you want to see tab, just slide right till the end, and the tab will be shown.

Yea, I don't know why but a flash plug-in should be added. Since it doesn't have a plugin yet, I'm not able to watch YouTube.

Conclusion

The features still common, but I'm interested with the add-on. It will be great, as great as Firefox do. We can waiting for the full release. But, you must be patient. The Symbian version is not previewed yet. The non-touch-screen interface is still proposed.
